Rachel Burdge

I'm a guitarist based out of the Atlanta, GA area with 9+ years experience playing, teaching and performing music. My influences cover a wide spectrum - from The Beatles to Rush, from Eric Johnson to Molly Tuttle.

I am currently pursuing my own education with Berklee College of Music , and you can catch me out live in the local Atlanta scene with my original indie rock band Mindblum, and honoring the music of Heart as Nancy Wilson in Atlanta's own Heart tribute band. 

I specialize in beginner/intermediate level basics, with rock and blues genres specifically. I focus extensively on the topics of improvisation and on developing your personal voice on the instrument, along with solid, natural technique.

​I believe in growing as a guitarist not just through technical proficiency, but also in overall musicianship. My approach to learning songs is not just being able to play a song, but to understand why it works, and how you can translate the things you hear into techniques and ideas you can utilize in your own songwriting.
