About

Born in South Spain and based in Madrid, Raul is a highly experienced guitarist specializing in Flamenco.

Powerful and creative by nature, Raul Corredor begins in the flamenco guitar studying with his father. After researching for years the world of self-taught guitar he ends up moving to Granada in 2002, where he studies with masters Jorge Gomez, Emilio Maya and accompanies singers and dancers. He participates for two years in the International Guitar Festival of Cordoba, studying with Raimundo Amador and Manolo Sanlucar. Some years later he moves to Seville, where he was resident guitarist at the Andres Marín flamenco school, and played for artists like Patricia Guerrero, Rosario la Tremendita or Andres Marín himself.

He moved abroad in 2012 to Belgium, where he was demanded as a teacher in Institut Dalcroze (Brussels) and Jazz Studio (Antwerp). In 2015, after releasing his first CD (Chao, besos, casa) he began performing all around Europe playing his own compositions (Interational Festival of Prague, Festival Midi Minimes, Festival Flamenco de Mont de Marsans, etc), and became a very demanded guitarist for Latin and Jazz ensembles.

Currently based in Madrid, Raul has been touring through most countries in Europe, and also conducting lessons or master classes in Brazil, Malaysia and Mexico.

I'm passionate about music teaching and I'm happy to take on people from 9 to 99 years old. I teach flamenco the traditional way, the same way my father taught it to me: one by one and keeping it crystal clear. My classes are always enjoyable and positive, and I adapt to the student needs and levels.

My objective is to share my joy and love for music with others who are keen to take up an instrument, and to guide them in developing an effective and and healthy practice routine supported by musical references for each rhythm and style we are working on at the time.
