About
Hello prospective music students! I am an electric and acoustic violinist, fiddler, and teacher based in NYC. I graduated from SUNY Purchase summa cum laude with a degree in Viola performance and Classical Composition; I also studied Irish fiddle with renowned musician Brian Conway. Since then I've gone on to tour and perform with a number of Country, Bluegrass, Americana, Irish, and Rock bands, performing at venues and festivals across the USA and Canada. I also perform in classical ensembles for weddings and private events in the NYC area.
I've been teaching private music lessons and group classes for seven years; I've taught privately and through several of the most respected companies in New York, including Forbes Music Company, Soyulla, and Tone Academy of Music. I believe that music lessons can be fun and curiosity driven! Every student has different goals and musical interests; I believe in working with my students to set goals and and learn songs that will be rewarding and enjoyable. I've had the opportunity in my career to perform many different genres of music, and love to guide my students as they explore different styles and ideas.
