About

Hello! I'm an operatic tenor with a passion for teaching.  For the last 8 I have traveled and performed all over the world in most of the major opera houses around.  Prior to that time I was a young artist at: Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Merola Opera Program, Florida Grand Opera Program.   I am a winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Operalia World Opera Compeition, and others.

During my travels I often had younger singers reaching out to me asking for career advice as well as requesting lessons.  I made time to do this as often as possible and now I haved decided to make teaching a more regular part of my career! I look forward to meeting you and working with you!

My teaching style is evolving regularly as I learn more and work with more students.  I work first with breath and creating appropriate vowels then working in making the correct modifications when going through the various registers.  My voice teacher's primary influence is Virginia Zeani so I follow along, primarily, with that technique.  I specialize in Rossini and Bel Canto repertoire but I am comfortable with a wider range of repertoire.  I am quite good with the primary operatic languages and love digging into the text of an aria to assist, when needed, in interpretation.

My teaching experience so far is primarily with college level to professional level singers but I am open to working with beginners to help them build a good and healthy foundation for singing as well.

Bachelor’s of Music from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts
