About
I am an experienced professional musician and educator, who loves to work with students of all levels to achieve greatness.
My career is very diverse, from songwriting and recording with rock bands to soloing with Symphony Orchestras. Among some performing highlights are the national tours of the musical West Side Story, Into the Woods, Aladdin, and Miss Saigon to name a few.
I attended the American Conservatory of Music where I studied Trumpet Performance with the greats of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I am also a winner of the University of Chicago Concerto competition
I am presently a host and emcee of a monthly Jazz night at Barrington's Whitehouse, in Barrington, Illinois.
I use positive feedback to students to motivate them to be better. I think to make playing fun will encourage a student to work even harder in their practice.
I have taught students of all levels from beginner to college level and truly enjoy connecting a student to various concepts in order for them to understand why something works well.

the Arban Conservatory method, Hebert L Clarke Technical Studies, Getchell Studies, Sigmund Hering Etudes, Concone Vocalises, and several contemporary jazz studies, as well as all Major and Minor scales.
