I am a multi-instrumentalist teacher based in Manchester, UK who has taught in schools to all ages as well as privately to adults. I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music specialising in pop/rock/jazz piano but also have classical training and have taught for many years. As well as this I have Grade 8 classical clarinet and am highly competent on saxophone. I also taught acoustic and electric guitar (rock, folk, classical etc), bass guitar and have taught ukulele and tin whistle in schools. Happy to tailor lessons to students and hopefully help inspire them to reach their full potential!
I have taught many pupils privately on a range of instruments. Some of these have just played for fun, whereas others have passed different graded exams on various syllabuses. I was also employed by the Manchester Music Service teaching primary and secondary schools so can cater for all ages and abilities. I am proficient with jazz and classical theory and can also help with technique, scales and anything else.

I have no recommended texts. If students want to work on improvisation/chords we can do this. If they want to learn Queen, Beatles or other popular songs great. We can focus on scales/theory (should you wish!) or can look at graded exams on ABRSM, Trinity, Rockschool or any other exam board - it's up to you!
