About

I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Juilliard School, and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma from the Curtis Institute, where I studied with Nathan Hughes and Richard Woodhams. I have performed with many leading ensembles including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, Pittsburgh Symphony, and New York City Ballet, among others. In the summers, I have performed at the Aspen, Sarasota, Spoleto, Tanglewood, and Verbier Festivals. I am a native of northern New Jersey and began my studies on piano. I was a teaching assistant at Juilliard Pre-College from 2014-2017,  and completed a Pedagogy course while at Curtis.

I adapt my teaching style to suit the needs and goals of each student. I hope to create and build on a fundamental knowledge of the technical aspects of playing to allow each student to further develop their artistic expression. I hope to give students the tools to listen constructively and improve outside of our lesson time.

BM, The Juilliard School.
Diploma, The Curtis Institute.

The Barret oboe method and studies of Ferling have been formative in my own training, and I find them very well suited to effective oboe teaching.
