About
I am a pianist/multi-instrumentalist, teacher, composer, and lifelong musician, with a diverse career spanning almost two decades. I love bringing arts and music to the community, both in performing and education. As a freelance keys player, I record and play live for-hire as needed by project and producer. After college, I toured and performed professionally w various bands (’04-’12). I also taught privately and at the Globalsound Studios Academy of Rock band camp during that time. I began working in musical theater as a Music Director at Denver’s Voodoo Playhouse (’12-’14) then moved to Austin, TX as an MD at The Hideout and The ZACH Theaters (’14-’21) where I held a personal teaching practice as well. I moved back to Colorado during the pandemic, and currently teach privately online and in-home in Pueblo, and perform for hire and on my Twitch channel.
My teaching style is 100% about the individual student and their goals. I'm about following the fun, going where the student's motivation and excitement are taking them, and facilitating that. I'm well versed in a variety of pedagogy including Hannon and Suzuki, so if we want to go as far as gearing towards competitive classical recitals we can, but the student always comes first and I'm just as comfortable working pop charts and basics. I love teaching, and have a wealth of experience in creating a curriculum with students and parents which fits their specific aptitude, practice schedule, and desired results.
