Ryan Mascilak
About
Ryan Mascilak is a singer, multi-genre composer, arranger, and accompanist. In the span of 3 years, he received his BA in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
He is a native of Middlesex County, MA, and a lover of all things nature. He currently lives in Southern California where he has worked as a music librarian (over 3 years at the Walt Disney Studios), composer, private music instructor, singer-songwriter. He has recorded with various artists in the LA area & accompanied many singers (such as a pianist for Actor/Singer Paul Sorvino of "Goodfellas").
He currently works as full-time Music Director of Saint Finbar Church in Burbank, CA.
My teaching style adjusts to the personal needs of each of my students, but I always push. I like to expand my student's knowledge of their instrument & strengths as a complete musician, so I spend time exposing them to areas outside their specific realm of learning. For example, if a student shows a particularly strong ear while learning to read properly and correct music theory, I will dedicate time to strengthening their ear and other innate abilities.
