About
I am Saairam V, a professional tabla player and multi-instrumentalist from India. I have been learning and performing music from a very young age, with a strong foundation in Hindustani classical music. Along with tabla, I also play instruments like mridangam, dholak, pakhawaj, and khol, which gives me a broader understanding of rhythm and percussion.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and structured according to each student’s level. I focus on making lessons engaging and easy to understand. I adapt my teaching based on the student’s goals, whether they are beginners or advanced learners.
I believe in building a strong foundation first and then gradually developing speed, clarity, and creativity.
Curriculum
My teaching method is based on practical learning and real musical application. I teach basic strokes (bols), hand techniques, and rhythm understanding step-by-step. Students will learn compositions, kaidas, relas, and how to apply them in songs and performances.
I also include practice exercises, timing development, and guidance on how to accompany vocals or instruments.
Credentials & Affiliations
I have received formal training in Tabla under respected gurus Shri Nadha Muni Guru Ji and Shri Satyanarayana Guru Ji from a young age, following the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara. I am inspired by the style of Ustad Tari Khan Sahib.
I have performed at SABAs, television programs, and international concerts in Sri Lanka, Canada, and Malaysia. I have experience performing across various musical styles and platforms.
