About
I am a lifelong musician, recording artist, songwriter, performer, and educator with decades of professional experience. Throughout my career, I have toured and performed internationally across the United States, Brazil, Mexico, India, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, and other parts of the world. My music has been featured in television and film, including CBS’s SEAL Team and the feature film Mercy, and my work has received recognition from outlets such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, SPIN, MTV, and VH1.
As a multi-instrumentalist, I teach guitar, bass, drums, vocals, songwriting, recording, and live performance. I bring real-world experience into every lesson, helping students understand not only how to play an instrument, but also how to write meaningful songs, develop their own sound, build confidence, collaborate with others, and grow as complete artists.
One of the most rewarding parts of my career is passing along the knowledge, creativity, and experience I have gained to the next generation of musicians and creators. I believe that every student has a unique artistic voice, and my goal is to help them discover it, strengthen it, and confidently share it with the world.
Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time, preparing to perform, writing original music, or working toward a professional career, I will create lessons around your individual goals, musical interests, and creative identity. Most importantly, I want students to feel inspired, supported, and excited about becoming the artists they were meant to be.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is immersive, practical, and centered around giving students a real-world musical experience. Rather than learning only through exercises, students have the opportunity to play or sing the songs they have always dreamed of performing in a live, in-studio setting.
I teach from my professional recording studio, which creates a comfortable, inspiring, and unique environment. Students experience what it feels like to rehearse, perform, and create music alongside a professional working artist. My goal is to help them build not only technique, but also confidence, timing, musicality, stage awareness, and the ability to work within a full arrangement.
For instrumentalists, I often use Songsterr as a visual guide while students play along with the original song or professional stem tracks. Guitarists, bassists, and drummers can hear how their part fits into the complete performance, making each lesson feel more like playing with a real band than practicing alone.
Vocal students can record themselves singing a song they love and experience the process of becoming part of an actual studio recording. They learn microphone technique, phrasing, harmonies, interpretation, and how to deliver a confident and emotionally meaningful performance.
Every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, interests, and experience level. I want students to leave each session feeling as though they did more than take a lesson, they rehearsed, performed, recorded, and took another step toward becoming the artist they want to be.
Curriculum
My teaching method is practical, immersive, and tailored to each student’s musical goals. I combine traditional instruction with a real-world band and recording-studio experience, allowing students to learn through the songs they are most excited to play or sing.
Instrumental students work with tablature, chord charts, notation, custom exercises, and Songsterr as a visual reference. They often play along with professional backing tracks or isolated stems, helping them develop timing, technique, listening skills, and an understanding of how their part fits within a complete arrangement.
Vocal students work on breathing, pitch, phrasing, tone, microphone technique, interpretation, and performance confidence. When appropriate, they may also record a song in my professional studio, giving them firsthand experience with the recording process.
I do not rely on one required textbook for every student. Recommended materials are selected according to the student’s age, level, instrument, musical interests, and goals. These may include Songsterr, customized lesson notes, chord and scale diagrams, lyric sheets, recordings, backing tracks, ear-training exercises, and selected method books when additional structured study would be helpful.

I am an ASCAP-affiliated songwriter and have worked extensively as an independent artist, bandleader, recording musician, and instructor. I have also taught students through established music-lesson platforms, including Taylor Robinson Music and another online platform.
My professional background allows me to offer students more than traditional instruction. I bring firsthand experience in songwriting, recording, touring, live performance, band collaboration, studio technique, and the practical realities of building a life in music.
