Samuel Blount

My name is Sam Blount. I'm 26 years old, and have been playing guitar/bass/leading worship in church for nearly a decade and a half. I love teaching and helping people discover the gifts they have inside of them. I have a passion for excellence in music, and a love for great art. My favorite artists are John Mayer, Boston, James Taylor, The 1975, Leeland, and Tom Misch.

My musical influences come primarily from my upbringing in a musical family- my parents were worship leaders in church, as well as music teachers.  Me and my siblings took to playing different instruments and so we became a "family band" 

I currently live in Denton, TX and lead the worship team at my church (The Bridge Church Denton.) 

My approach to learning is student-centered. I am here to help you achieve your goals! I also want to help you improve in areas you might not have realized needed improvement. It is my job as your teacher to offer guidance as you discover your musical potential. 

My teaching approach is organic but structured. Im committed to customizing each lesson to the needs of the student. Many aspects of musical understanding are required to become an advanced musician who can "play well with others."
