About
Hello!
My name is Samuel Chacon and I'm a bass player from Brazil. I was born in 1989 and started playing bass at 14 years old. I joined Unicamp at 18 and studied with several famous teachers such as Richard Bona, Billy Sheehan, André Vasconcelos and Adriano Campagnani.
I teach my classes using Constructive Music Learning.
The way in which Music Theory and Learning an Instrument works is based on the student's way of thinking and understanding. And to create a solid pillar of knowledge, the best way is to let the pupil appropriate the ideas and information in a way that makes sense to him. I'm here to guide you in that process of understanding music and creating a really solid fundamentals of the instrument and music theory!
I have 16 years of experience in music lessons and I hope you can learn something from me!
I always consider the student's needs, respecting their work flow, time and potential. Exploring and filling in the gaps, working on the student's difficulties.
I can teach you a song from start to finish or help you get a better sound, regarding any techniques on a song you're already learning by yourself.
I can help you create a bassline for a song you're writing and always explain the theory behind it.
And so much more!
