Samuel Fronk

Hello, my name is Samuel Fronk and I am a percussion teacher based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.  I hold a Bachelor's of Music Performance in Percussion from Bowling Green State University and have a Master's of Music Performance in Percussion from one of the country's most prestigious conservatories: the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati.  I have spent time as a principal percussionist in professional orchestras, timpanist for the Rosary Cathedral, as well as have performing regularly.  

I am also an established teacher as I have 31 current students through the Cincinnati area and most of them perform at Solo and Ensemble festivals where they receive Superior Ratings.  My students are a balance of drum set students and classical students who play snare drum, timpani, and mallet instruments.  My teaching philosophy is to build and develop the student's technical and reading ability through fun exercises and solos to build them up to becoming percussionist who can play anything that would be thrown their way.

Lessons should be a fun experience for the student.  In my lessons, I try to keep them as relaxing and encouraging as possible while pushing the student to become the best musician they can possibly be.  I am direct and straightforward so the student knows exactly what to work on to get better.  I believe a key to be a successful musician is to have a strong technique.  By developing a strong technique through fun exercises and solos, students will be able to develop fast and will set them on track to achieve their dreams.  Learning music can be very challenging but I do my best to make it very fun and give the student a great time.
