Happy to meet you! I love to teach piano, cello, music composition, lyric writing and more! I have performed internationally as a featured cellist with YANNI for over 25 years so I may have performed in a city near you. I am also a pianist and composer and my work includes film and TV, albums and live concerts. I trained classically in London and Los Angeles and now I perform and record all genres of music including pop, rock, new age and world music in addition to classical. My schedule is flexible and my approach is open-minded to suit the individual needs of each student. All ages, and all levels of experience are welcome. Hope to see you soon!
I like to work on a strong foundation to enable the student to feel confident in exploring the music they enjoy. Music has to be fun! Every student has different goals, strengths, and time available to practice. I keep an open mind and a flexible approach so that together we can structure a lesson plan that will be productive and enjoyable, while achieving great results! Of course, dedication is required and I expect my students to work hard so we can improve and make some great music together! Outside of the instrument, I shall be recommending songs, pieces and artists to check out so you will experience much more in the process!

We'll start with basics - warming up, some technical exercises and then progress to pieces that we've selected. Let's break down the tricky sections and tackle those so the music can flow! I am familiar with the ABRSM syllabus, all rudimentary theory texts and cello / piano repertoire that includes studies, etudes etc. Bring the pieces or areas you want to work on, or I shall be happy to suggest a program.
