About

**Online Tuition Offered**

Dynamic, passionate and fun vocals&music theory teacher.

Hello, my name is Sarah Patsalidou and I'm a BA Music 2019 graduate from the University of Southampton. I am currently finishing my MA in Musical Theatre Production at the Goldsmiths University of London where I'm producing an original musical written by John Goh called "The Valley of War"

I have been singing and dancing my whole life having performed in numerous concerts, shows and gigs both in the UK and Cyprus including "The Best of the West End" at the Royal Albert Hall. For the last 3 years, I have been focusing on musical theatre singing having been taught by West End and Broadway professionals such as Nichola Christie ("The Phantom of the Opera") and Julliard graduate Andy Arodites.

I am a very self-motivated, organised and disciplined person, and I apply these traits to everything I do, including my teaching.

For my second year at the University of Southampton, in 2017, I did my placement at Foundry Lane Primary School. I went there once a week and helped the music teacher run the lesson and organise music activities. I was teaching the recorder to three different Year 3 groups for the first half of the year. For the second half, we did a production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and I helped with the process and song learning. I worked with the kids who had the principal roles giving them vocal lessons and acting tips.

Over the years I had various experiences as a Music Instructor in Summer schools around Cyprus where I had to manage various classes of 20 children. Finally, for the past year, I have been part of Sugarman Education where I substituted teachers in schools around London and had the opportunity to work with children and adults of all ages, abilities and disabilities.

My approach to Music Tuition is practice, practice, practice. Everything is possible if you are patient and willing to work hard to achieve what you want. Music is something that comes to oneself with a lot of practice and most importantly, step by step. I have always said that the 3 keys to success are consistency, hard work and passion. And that's the idea I am trying to bring into the class!
