About
Seth is an award winning song-writer and highly qualified and experienced professional musician and educator with more than 35 years’ experience in all things music. He has worked with many different vocalists from beginner to platinum, award winning professional artists.
With a degree in Music and having been trained to a very high standard by some of the best musicians and with an expanse of knowledge across all musical styles, Seth can help guide you to the next level in your skills.
Seth has trained and developed countless musicians who have gone on to become highly successful in their musical endeavours as well as platinum selling and top ten artists.
Seth has performed for many different bands and genres including - Jazz, Classical, Pop, Rock, Funk, Folk & Gospel.
MUSIC EDUCATOR:
1998-1999: Teacher at the Free State Musicon (A music institution for school kids)
2008-2016: Head of a music department for one of the largest churches in South Africa (Christian Revival Church). I established a music school (CRC School of Music) and training and developing many vocalists, songwriters, and musicians.
2010-present: Freelance vocal instructor. I was a vocal trainer to the top selling vocalist in South Africa (Juanita de Plessis) as well as her children. Other artist I have worked with - Craig Banks, Merldy B and Loyiso.
PERFORMER:
Session musician for bands - Boomslang, Voel, CRC Radiation, Jazz bands, Ystervark and church worship groups
Performed at most of the major music festivals in South Africa (Oppikoppi, Klein Karoo National Arts Festival, Up the Creek Festival, Knysna Oyster Festival)
SONGWRITING:
I am award wining songwriter. I have also been a songwriting teacher for more than 12 years.
PIANO
I have a degree in Jazz with Piano and Saxophone being my main instruments. I have been a session musician for more than 20 years.
TEACHING STYLE
Classes should always be fun, creative and stimulating without losing structure and focus. It is important that an goal is set that needs to be achieved during every lesson and then is reinforced during the weekly with exercises.
