About

I, am a singer-songwriter based in Mumbai, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Hindustani Classical Vocals, and music has been a part of my life ever since I was seven years old. Although I began my journey learning Carnatic music, I soon found my home in Hindustani classical vocals and recorded my very first song at the age of nine.

Over the years, I have trained extensively in Indian classical music while also studying voice culture and Western vocal techniques. I was honoured to receive First Place in Hindustani Classical Vocals at the 20th Cultural Forum of Performing Arts, a UNESCO-affiliated competition, and have had the privilege of receiving appreciation for my classical singing from legendary playback singer Kavita Krishnamurti.

A recent highlight of my journey was being selected among the Top 30 artists out of over 12,000 applicants for Nexa Music Season 3, where I was mentored by A. R. Rahman (A two-time Academy Award, two-time Grammy Award and Golden Globe-winning composer). My original song Woh Pal has since crossed 250,000 views on YouTube.

Alongside my independent music, I have explored musical theatre, playing a lead role alongside Mayur Puri in I, CLOUD, which was performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts, the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and Cuckoo Club.

Teaching has become one of the most fulfilling parts of my musical journey. Having taught students across different age groups, I have seen how music can positively impact not just a person's voice, but also their confidence, discipline and overall well-being. My aim is to help every student discover their unique voice while building a strong foundation in music.

I am inspired by independent artists and enjoy performing and teaching a blend of Indian classical, Bollywood, indie and light Western music.

Teaching Style

I believe in Introducing basics of music and building the foundation to make a rock solid base.  I explain not just music practically but also, vocal anatomy and how one can take care of one's voice on a constant basis. I believe that music is for an overall development of mind and body and that's how the approach will be.

The student will learn Hindustani classical music, basics of western and voice culture as well as how to approach music for better health.

I will  teach the appropriate breathing techniques to support singing, as well as warm up exercises, range extention exercises, switching registers runs etc that can be followed on a daily basis.
