As your teacher, I am committed to meeting you where you're at and building you up as a strong oboist, musician, and person. In our lessons, we will use method books, etudes and solo pieces to focus on the fundamentals of oboe playing and elements of a musical foundation. Lessons will also focus heavily on practice techniques to give you the best tools to learn any piece of music!

As my student, you will learn more than just how to play the oboe. I want you to have a healthy relationship with your music as you progress on the oboe so you can confidently tackle problems that come your way. I believe that being a musician is about so much more than reading notes on a page. It's about your journey towards becoming a creative problem solver, independent thinker and collaborative partner. It's about flexing your creativity, practicing with mindfulness and overcoming rejection with a positive spirit. Being a musician is about being a better person!
