I teach beginner conductors how to use their hands to show the music. I also try to help the student make their own interpretation of the music based on what they know about the piece in question and the historic background.

I studied conducting under Ilya Musin in St Petersburg, Russia 1991-95 and hold a MA from Tokyo Geidai University where I studied with Professor Kotaro Sato.
Before studying in Russia 1991-95 I studied conducting in Krakow, Poland under Prof Jerzy Katlewicz.
I also hold a BA Hons in Music (Clarinet and Composition) from Birmingham Conservatoire, UK.I have received prizes in various conducting competitions.
Apart from the languages mentioned I also speak Polish, French, German and Italian.

I don't use a text book but I do use scores.
