I have a vast experience of over 10 years teaching at high school level both locally in the United States as well as internationally teaching the British GCE O-level and A-level curriculums. I also have over 7 years of teaching undergraduate Physics courses at University level. I have developed essential skills to work with diverse groups of students and have achieved remarkable levels of success with my students over the years. I look forward to helping you succeed in your Math and Physics classes.
Every successful student has a great teacher to cultivate their achievement. For me, the foundation of a great teacher begins with the zeal of knowledge in the area of specialization and the ability and tools necessary to propel this knowledge forward and make it acquirable to the students. My philosophy of teaching is to create and develop a student centered, meaningful and realistic learning environment that cultivates student achievement. I believe that excellence is the measure of my competence and character as a role model.
In order to achieve my objectives, I set both short and long term achievable goals necessary to develop a working teaching plan, prepare both the content and materials necessary to meet the goals, and use varying teaching techniques to efficiently transmit the content to the learners. I always incorporate real life illustrations to solidify the theories I teach as this technique stimulates student’s interest in the subject matter and aids in comprehension of the facts and theories themselves. The use of illustrations and problem solving techniques is paramount to learning physics. Mathematical interpretation of theories and laws of physics also make the subject matter comprehensible to learners.
I hold a graduate Degree in Physics and Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Physics Education
My teaching methods includes demonstration and problem solving skills using real life applications to illustrate the concept and the content being taught to help students understand and apply the material. I employ student centered approach in which I give learners more opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of material learned.
