Su Bekret

Hello, my name is Su. (It means water in English, if you are interested.) 

I am from Turkey / İstanbul. I was born and raised here. I started fine arts high school, again here in İstanbul, back when it was 2012. I can say that was a official start to my music life.  I studied Guitar and Piano there. Guitar was my main instrument and Piano was mandatory to learn with it. Then in 2016 I started University right after high school, in Marmara University and I majored Music Teaching, again training for myself and to teach this time. My instruments were Guitar and Piano. 

Between the years 2018-2019 I studied a year abroad with Erasmus Program.  I was in Poland / Gdansk Academy of Music, where I actually had to move my music teaching experience to online, in order to stay connected with my students. 

Then I took a gap year after finishing University in 2020. Now I'm doing my Masters in my University and want to continue until I'm a doctor. 

It is a tradition to study in my University and start teaching right away which is why I can gladly say I have 6 years of experience in teaching. 

I always was trained with Classical Music. So for starters if that's what my students needs, it's amazing because I'm here for them. 

But if not, that's completely okay! Over the years of my teaching experience I've learned to understand my students needs, give them the basics they need in order to make the music they feel like making. 

I like to teach weekly (once a week at least) in order to keep a bit of discipline. Give my students homeworks in order to keep them practiced. And make great Music at the end!
