About
Hi everyone! I’ve been performing for over 15 years, playing with artists such as Matt Redman, Michael Bublé, and touring all over the country with Peter Mayer of Jimmy Buffett’s Corral Reefer Band.
Aside from performing, I’ve been teaching for 10+ years to students of all ages and skill levels in violin, viola, ukulele, and piano. I have a passion for teaching and want to give students a nurturing environment to build their skills.
Teaching Style
My biggest goal for my students is for them to experience the joy that music brings and give them to tools to feel confident in playing their instrument. I bring a classical approach to set the student up for a solid foundation of posture, note reading and technique. My desire is to give students a nurturing environment so that they feel comfortable to ask questions and better their understanding in the lesson.
Curriculum
I bring a classical approach to each lesson with the use of Suzuki books, scale books, Sassmanhaus books - but talior the repetoire to each individual student's needs depending on their strengths and weaknesses. Each student learns differently, so I am determined as a teacher to find what method works for each student so that they can really understand and grasp the concepts.
