Teertha Kuttappa

Teertha is a music enthusiast from India who wants to encourage more people to learn to sing by teaching them the basics of classical music. She has been trained professionally in Indian Carnatic classical vocals for 17 years under various prominent gurus and has been honing her singing talent for 20 years now. Apart from that, she has also participated in and won many inter-collegiate singing events, and has performed live in a wide variety of settings.

I believe that understanding what a song is made up of is as important as learning to sing it. With classical music, I want to help create such a foundation of understanding for beginners. Interaction is the main key to help share knowledge, hence, I would first try understand what the students are looking forward to learn from me.

Students will be introduced to Carnatic music and it's basic understanding. This involves practice of the pitch, beats, notes and the general portions to be covered.

Apart from classical music, semi- classical and bollywood style music would also be taught to interested students.
