Hi! I specialize in singing and playing guitar at the same time. If you want to be able to accompany your singing on guitar, or add some vocals to your killer strumming skills, you've come to the right place. To sign up, you should be able to play the guitar reasonably well. If you've ever tried singing and playing, it's like learning a new instrument all by itself. Your guitar playing might be perfect and the second you add vocals, everything falls apart. That's where my song-learning method comes in. It's a completely new way of thinking about your music so that things just "click"!

My credentials: I have a Bachelor's in Music - Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, I'm an accomplished singer-songwriter, and I run a live wedding music business where I sing and play cover songs. I've taught over 250 lessons and I've played and sung onstage for thousands of performances.

My schedule is fairly irregular, but I can work with your schedule. Please message me to arrange your free 15-minute lesson, and if it's a good fit, then we can set up recurring lessons.

When it comes to teaching Singing+Playing, I understand that every learner has a different background, learning style, and ultimate goal with music lessons. Some students are professional guitarists, others are campfire heroes, and others yet are occasional hobbyists. While some of the basics carry through with all musicians, there is no one-size-fits-all approach toward learning music, so I tailor all of my lessons toward the needs and goals of each student.

I am enthusiastic, warm, patient, and I am very easy to work with. I teach with the full humility of knowing that I was once in your shoes. Combining singing and playing is not an easy thing to learn!
