About

I am a very passionate performer and teacher. I am from a music oriented family and I started studying music professionally since I was 6 years old. I won my first competition when I was 9 and have been performing in competitions and recitals ever since.

Excerpt from Biography:

Romanian violinist Tinca Belinschi performs extensively as a chamber and orchestral musician. She holds awards from various competitions, including the John Oliveira String Competition, Alhambra Concerto Competition, Remember Enescu International Competition, and The National Music Competition of Romania. Summer festival appearances include the International Music Academy in Austria, Wintergreen Music Festival, and the Zeist Music Days Festival in the Netherlands, among others. Recent chamber music performances include collaborations with Artistic Director of DaCamera Houston, Sarah Rothenberg (concerts at the Holocaust Museum as part of the Young Artist Program), collaborations with Christopher O’Riley, Bergonzi Quartet, and Sona Quartet. Ms. Belinschi performs extensively with many professional orchestras; recent engagements include Palm Beach Opera, Atlantic Classical Orchestra in Florida, Beaumont Symphony and Victoria Symphony in Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Lynn University, where she studied with Elmar Oliveira. She is a dedicated teacher, holding private violin and piano studios. Tinca taught at Lynn Conservatory Preparatory School, Plumosa School of the Arts and Nat King Cole SummerStrings in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is currently teaching at Travis Elementary School and Campbell Learning Center in Houston, Texas.

I am a very passionate and dedicated teacher and have had only positive feedback with the students and parents. I teach students of all ages and levels, form beginners to advanced.  All of my students play in recitals, they do better in school work since they started learning music and some of them are even planning on becoming professional musicians.

Learning music is one of the most fulfilling and joyous activities, which fosters motor skills, cognitive development and social skills. Creating a positive and nurturing environment for students can have a great impact on their professional and personal development. Learning music is much more than learning how to play notes on an instrument; it helps students understand and learn how to convey emotions through music, how to communicate using different expression methods and ultimately how to be happy, compassionate people.

My teaching philosophy is that every student has their unique way of learning; therefore, I choose teaching methods and lessons plans that are suitable for each student’s needs. I usually use Suzuki Method for beginners and go into more advanced materials as they progress. Whether students are seeking to learn music for fun or professionally, I truly believe I can guide them in this journey.
