As A Music Educator
Tom’s passion for playing music has always been matched by his excitement for sharing musical knowledge. A full time private instructor for over two decades, Tom has taught students of all ages and skill levels. He has authored multi-week courses for subscription based guitar instruction sites and has recorded two instructional DVDs teaching advanced techniques and musical concepts. In addition to his work as Music Director and co-owner of his own music school, Tom has performed as a masterclass artist & has been invited as a guest instructor for national music camps such as Camp Jam.
The Artist
Tom was introduced to the instrumental guitar scene with with his debut CD YTK. The CD was executive produced by legendary guitarist Michael Angelo Batio and distributed worldwide through MAB’s company MACE Music. Shortly after the release, Tom entered Ernie Ball/Music Man’s Best Guitarist on The Web contest and was awarded Best Rock Guitarist (judges included Steve Morse of Deep Purple and John Petrucci of Dream Theater).
Tom has appeared on compilation CDs released by Lion Music (Tribute to Shawn Lane Vol. 2) and Shredguy Records (Shredding Across the World Vol.1 & Vol.2, Resurrection).
Tom has been featured multiple times in national & international guitar publications such as Guitar Player Magazine & Gitar Plus (Indonesia) and on numerous instrumental guitar music websites.
My teaching style has one goal: I want you to play music! I enjoy working with all ages & skill levels. My teaching style is flexible according to the needs and experience of the student.

Custom, depending on the needs of the student. Handwritten lesson notes available and will be generated during the lesson time. I also have prepared lesson materials, and texts that I've developed for use in my music school's curriculum. I use TAB and standard notation.
