My Experience as a Teacher
I believe in the power of Positive Reinforcement and Encouragement in teaching. I am a firm believer that every student learns at their own pace, and fostering a patient and kind learning environment is key to growth. While I will ensure a nurturing atmosphere, I will also guide you in mastering the correct techniques and provide you with the necessary tools to excel as a musician.
Drawing from over three decades of experience as a performer and educator, I have developed effective teaching methods tailored to address individual musical challenges. By implementing structured practice techniques, students can maximize their progress and achieve rapid improvement in their playing.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my teaching philosophy is witnessing the development and achievements of my students. I take great pride in seeing students build confidence in their abilities and make strides towards their musical goals.

My lessons are structured logically, and informed by my 30 years of teaching and performing. Each lesson will aim to keep students busy, progressing steadily, and engaging with their own musical interests.
Though it is important to keep sessions productive, enjoyment is absolutely essential to achieving the best results. Learning any musical instrument should be an exciting process, so I always like to keep lessons relaxed and encouraging for learners!
Each lesson is delivered and planned with the individual student in mind. No two drummers are the same, so I strongly believe that content for each lesson should reflect age, experience, interests, and rate of learning for each individual student.
