Hello students,
My name is T'Zipporah Ashley. I am originally from the United States, but nowadays I work and travel abroad. I have been teaching English as a Second Language to non-native speaking students for over 2 years now.
My education in the English language began with general kindergarten to high school education (grades K – 12) from 1995 to 2014, according to the American Common Core State Standards for English and Language Arts. I graduated high school from Maple Heights High School in Maple Heights, Ohio with a general high school diploma.
While in my senior year of high school (grade 12), I took the opportunity to attend my school's post secondary enrollment opportunity program or "PSEOP" (coursework accredited towards higher educational institutions). I attended the Advanced Academic Literature and Writing course organized by Cleveland State University. Coursework included an introduction into academic writing, reading, citing, peer reviewing, and more.
Moving onto college, I furthered my English studies under the School of Communications at Kent State University. I enrolled in the Applied Communications program, which taught various forms of American English communication including, but not limited to, verbal (and non-verbal), international, local, and digital communication. I graduated from Kent State University with a 4-year Bachelor's of Arts degree majoring in Applied Communications (2014 – 2018).
My classes are compiled into three main categories: Standard English, Business English, and Informal (or Slang) English. Each one includes one or more of the following techniques:
• vocabulary building,
• grammatical structuring,
• terminological differentiation (*Business*),
• phrasal and idiomatic usage,
• pronunciation consolidation,
• accent reduction,
• reading recognition,
• listening comprehension,
• standard and academic writing review,
• casual dialectical training (*Informal/Slang*)
• punctuation efficiency,
• and more.
If you have read my entire bio to this point, I thank you for taking the time and consideration to review everything in my profile! I hope to see you soon for our first class together! 👋✅

Such a great tutor here in Cambly! I am grateful to meet and learn from her.
My job is very busy, but they always take my schedule into consideration,
which is always very helpful.
Kind, knowledgeable, and patient are the top three qualities I can immediately
come up with when it comes to Mrs. Tzipporah. Not only does she offer
great help in language learning, but also she share life experience with her students.
I would say she is the best tutor I've ever had on Cambly. 100% sure. 😊

とても優しい先生でしたが、あまりネイティブっぽくはなかったです。
You taught me how to pronounce the words kindly. Thank you very much.
It was great meeting you, Tzipporah. You're a kind, attentive teacher who speaks beautiful
English. I enjoyed talking and learning with you because of your pleasant and friendly
manner. Thanks for helping me improve my English by guiding me through the article about
social media apps, which are popular now when reading and watching the news. Although I don't use
those apps, I learned new things with your help. It was enjoyable to discuss related stuff with you.

Teaching Style
Recently, I decided to expand my English skill to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) students more exclusively. I attended a 120 hour TESOL (Teaching English to Students of Other Languages) certification program from the International Open Academy in Dublin, Ireland to officially teach English to ESL students worldwide (2022).
This certification is ICOES (International Council for Online Educational Standards) licensed and helps to develop skills such as basic linguistics, classroom management, pedagogical techniques, grammar structuring, lexical strengthening, reading/writing comprehension, listening development, and more while teaching students in a physical or online classroom.
Finally, I began to teach ESL students online primarily through two online platforms (Cambly Inc. and Native Camp Inc.) as the official start to my teaching career. I have taught students of all ages ranging from 4 to 65 years old. Curriculum is customized for each individual student either by the student's choice (selected through each platform) or created via my own personalized lesson plans. Most students chose to study for their IELTS or TOFEL examinations. 👨🎓📖
Curriculum
❗[Note:] For Standard English, Business English, Informal English, or Free Conversation classes, please select either "English" or "ESL" when you book a lesson. For pronunciation practice, please select "Accent Reduction."
As a genuine educator, I love teaching based on my students requirements. You can choose to take one of my pre-planned lessons, self-paced courses, or engage in simple, daily conversations to build your confidence. The classes are tailor-made specifically for you!
If you start with the free trial lesson,, we will start with free conversation, just so I can evaluate your English level. Afterwards, I will give feedback as to what you did perfectly and what can be improved. Finally, we can decide which courses are best suited for your development in the lessons following therein after. Lessons are conducted via Zoom calls and additional materials will be sent via this platform for your convenience.
I encourage my students to do most of the talking (at least 80%) to build their confidence and skill-set. I provide the materials via oral explanations or slideshow presentations. You can learn at your own pace and I encourage you to take plenty of notes! 📝👍
