Teaching has always been at the heart of my music making, because sharing what I experience and have learned in music gives me joy and a purpose to what I do. I believe music is accessible to anyone and I love that music-making can be manifested in so many ways for each individual. Having had long-time experience in teaching complete beginners up to professional standard, I am convinced I can give you helpful ideas, learning strategies and share advice that I have been given by many great musicians and mentors - no matter at what stage of your musical journey you’re at!
I speak English, German, Finnish and some French.
During the Corona Virus-restrictions, I was teaching full-time online and have therefore gathered a lot of experience in online teaching. I have also created useful resources that make sure students will get the best out of their online lessons.

Colourstrings Teacher Certificate Level 1 and 2 (Level 3 under completion)

I'm educated in the Colourstrings Teaching Method, but I'm open to and using a range of teaching schools that over the years have inspired my own way of teaching.
Here are some things students have said about me as a teacher:

"[Learning to play the violin] wouldn't have been possible if you hadn't taught me so well and patiently, still being encouraging in the weeks that I hadn't practiced as much (...). I am very happy that you have been my teacher since the start of my violin studies, and have enjoyed being your student. Thank you for all the guidance you have given, and cultivating an interest in me for playing the violin." - student age 15, having been my student since the age of 8

"I've learned a lot from you, and appreciated especially your positivity, I couldn't have hoped for a better teacher!! It is wonderful to have gotten such a good teacher and so much advice that I will be able to use in the future. Thank you!!' - student age 13
