As the Founder and Lead Instructor of ANV Guitar Classes, I am a dedicated independent singer-songwriter and music producer who offers structured, personalized guitar training tailored to each student's unique musical journey. Operating out of a fully equipped, high-end professional home studio, I provide a world-class, seamless learning experience designed to take you from foundational chords to advanced fingerstyle arrangements.
Teaching Style
My teaching philosophy is entirely practical, structured, and goal-oriented. I don't believe in dry, endless drills; instead, I combine essential technical foundations (like chord shapes, strumming patterns, and scales) with real creative application.
Because I am a working singer-songwriter, my lessons are tailored to your personal musical goals. If you are a complete beginner, we will start with comfortable hand mechanics and basic rhythm using popular songs. If you are an intermediate player, we will dive into advanced acoustic techniques, composition arrangement, and the workflows I use to record professional music at home. I provide a highly encouraging, supportive, and structured environment where every lesson translates into tangible progress you can hear.
Curriculum
My teaching method is structured, progressive, and highly customized to each student's pace. I focus on building strong technical habits right from the start—focusing on clean finger placement, proper hand posture, and rhythmic accuracy. I break down complex concepts into simple, actionable steps so students never feel overwhelmed.
Recommended Materials & Student Texts:
For Beginners: I provide custom-vetted chord charts, tab sheets, and clear PDFs of foundational finger exercises and basic rhythm patterns.
For Songwriting & Production: I share digital templates, chord progression maps, and structural breakdown guides that I use in my own studio workflow.
Student Requirements: All you need for our first lesson is a tuned acoustic or electric guitar, a pick, and an open mind!
Credentials & Affiliations
My background bridges academic discipline with active, professional music execution. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi (2012-2016 batch), which allows me to uniquely break down the mathematical and geometric complexities of music theory for my students. As an award-winning performer, I was one of the featured winners of the 'Lake Side Dreams' event held at Spring Fest, IIT Kharagpur in 2018. My performance experience roots back to my college days where I played at prominent events like the Xavier's Rock Fest, Talentime, and live acoustic sessions at the Barista Coffee House. I have also been deeply involved with the band Urban Sages since their foundational days, contributing to their evolving sound and most recently releasing the collaborative single, 'Stuck' by Urban Sages featuring Vi-Ek. Additionally, as an active independent songwriter and producer, I manage the entire lifecycle of music production from my home studio, showcasing a diverse portfolio of digital releases that includes 'Beyond', 'the Case', 'Still', and 'Days in my Hometown'.
