As a self-taught Musician and with over 10 years of experience in the Film and Music Industry as a Composer, with over 6 years of experience as a Tutor, I have been teaching regularly Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, and Western Music Theory as its one of my passions. I have scored Music for National Geographic, Independent Features, TV and Theater Commercials, Documentaries, Corporate videos, numerous Pilots and Shorts. With this experience, I am keen on exposing my students to world music and the avenues there are for Musicians if they want to enter full-time in the industry.
Since I teach Western Music, I am flexible with my teaching methods to suit the requirements of the student. Though the basics remain the same, going for certifications or just customized teaching depends on what the student needs.
As I am a self-taught musician, I have not done any certifications. But I have the experience of teaching Trinity College London syllabus for over 6 years in various Music Schools here in Chennai, India as well as Online Classes through Skype. I have regularly been sending students for their examinations.
