Vinicius Silva

Vinicius “Vinny” Martins da Silva was born in the city of Londrina, state of Paraná, in Brazil. Always surrounded by all kinds of music at home, Vinicius learned with his father, at 11 years old, how to play the guitar. Soon, the guitar became his biggest passion, through extensive years of practicing at home, playing gigs, writing and self-producing his original tunes. Some time later, in late 2008 he moved to São Paulo to study music in Souza Lima Conservatory. After studying and becoming a recognized musician in the São Paulo music scene, Vinny was awarded a scholarship by Berklee College of Music in Boston, from which he graduated with a Performance Major Degree (Fall '13). Now he works as a performer, session musician, songwriter and producer at the New York and New England areas, in several projects, as he makes his mark into the International Music Scene.

- Guitarist and music director for the #1 Billboard Top 40 artist Amy Allen;

- Guitarist for the band Amy & The Engine (New England-New York areas);

- Selected as guitarist to play a Tribute to Jimmy Page in person at Agganis Arena, Boston, MA (2014);

- Played with US-famous artist Joselyn Rivera;

- Was guitarist for the band The Spins, led by internationally renowned drummer Alessia Mattalia (Jeff Beck, Stuart Epps, Jeff Bova);

- Currently working and touring with US-renowned artist Sam James;

- Performed at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh (UK), world's biggest arts festival  in August 2014;

- Selected to headline Berklee College of Music's prestigious "Guitar Night" (2013 "Jazz/Blues" & 2014 "R&B/Funk");

- Toured Italy with renowned US artist Joey Blake & Italian artist Marco Perfetti (Summer 2013);

- Intense studio work as guitarist, songwriter and producer at multiple studios, including world's top-ten Avatar Studios (NYC) and iiwii Studio (Weehawken, NJ);

- Played for an award ceremony honoring Harry Belafonte in person (Cambridge, MA, 2012).
