🎸 About Me: I’ve been playing music since I was 10. With over four decades of experience, I’ve played in bands and recorded several albums. I own and run a small recording studio in Round Rock, TX.  My love for music is unlimited, and I’m here to share that enthusiasm with you!

🎶 Teaching Philosophy: My teaching style? Think of it as a blend of laid-back vibes and laser-focused technique. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, I tailor lessons to your goals. Let’s unlock your musical potential together. Each student gets an initial assessment on music fundamentals, reading, and technique, and goals in their first lesson.

Core Technique: I want to ensure you are 100% comfortable with the fundamental techniques. You'll learn to hold a pick, finger placement, body position, and hand position. 

Chords and Scales: We’ll dive into the nitty-gritty of chords, scales, and arpeggios. Major, minor, diminished—no fretboard mystery will escape us.

Song Interpretation: Ever wondered how to capture the soul of a song? We’ll dissect melodies, harmonies, and lyrics.

Jam Sessions: Grab your air guitar (or the real deal) because we’ll jam together. I promise not to judge your air-guitar face.

🎵 Genres I Adore: Pop, Rock, blues, folk, jazz—you name it. If it’s got strings, I’m all ears. Let’s explore different genres and find your groove.

🎯 My Goal: To see you light up when you nail that riff, hit that high note, or write your first song. Music isn’t just about playing—it’s about feeling, expressing, and connecting.

📚 Credentials: I'm a full-time professional performing musician. I have over 45 students that I teach at a local private music school, Round Rock Music four days a week. I also teach at student's homes, and online. I've been teaching online for the last three years. I love the diversity of students I get to work with!

I adapt my teaching to best fit the student. Some students will benefit from traditional music learning methods. For older students and students coming back to music, we can work directly on learning songs.
