Teaching Style
Vocal
Good vocal technique is essential for singing. I will systematically teach and train you in the three key elements of vocal production: breathing, vocal cords, and resonance. When all these components are well-trained, you can produce beautiful sounds and sing effectively. I provide personalized guidance to address each individual’s weaknesses and help them improve.
Singing
The fastest way to become a skilled singer lies in how well you can “imitate.” By listening to and mimicking various styles of your favorite artists, you gather a palette of colors to create your own unique and beautiful masterpiece. It’s challenging to express your individuality without drawing from a variety of influences and materials.
Techniques
Singing requires a variety of techniques, much like figure skating involves different skills, each with its own level of difficulty. I will teach you techniques like bending, riffs & runs, belting, and vibrato, which add flavor and depth to your singing, making it more engaging and expressive.
Curriculum
With 8 years of teaching experience, I have worked with hobbyists, amateurs, Berklee College of Music students, Broadway actors, and professional singers. The curriculum is tailored to each individual’s goals, with distinct approaches for hobbyists, amateurs, and professionals.
Hobbyists: We focus on addressing your specific needs and filling in any gaps, helping you sing your favorite songs freely while learning in a fun and enjoyable way.
Amateurs: For those seriously aiming to enter the professional scene or pursuing music as a major, this level involves more intensive and focused assignments. I guide you not only in music but also in branding yourself as an artist.
Professionals: For experienced individuals already in the professional scene, I offer in-depth support, including album recording direction, vocal guides, and detailed feedback through DAW-based assignments. I also provide vocal training to maintain healthy vocal techniques before and after performances or during personal time, inspired by artists like Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
