We'll start with the basics, like chords, scales, and simple songs, gradually working our way to more advanced skills as you gain confidence. I also make space for your own musical interests, so you can start learning the songs and styles you love from day one. Together, we’ll make sure every lesson feels like a step forward!
Curriculum
My teaching method focuses on making learning music accessible and enjoyable from the very start. I use a hands-on approach, teaching you to play simple songs early on so you feel motivated and see progress. For guitar and piano, I start with foundational skills like chord shapes, rhythm exercises, and easy scales. I incorporate ear training, basic music theory, and exercises that improve muscle memory, which help you play smoothly and confidently. Each lesson is tailored to your pace, and I’ll always check in to ensure you’re comfortable before moving forward.
No required texts! I’ll provide all the exercises, song sheets, and practice materials you need. However, if you're interested in extra resources, I can recommend beginner-friendly books or online tools to support your practice between lessons.
