About
I am a principal lecturer and head of the bass department at Leeds Conservatoire in the UK. I teach Double, Electric bass, music theory, rhythm and other subjects closely related to music education. I have studied with Charlie Haden on Double Bass and Jeff Berlin on electric bass at California Institute of the Arts in LA where i graduated with a Masters degree. Also taught electric bass at Jeff Berlin's playerschool of music. Besides teaching i am a professional bassist working in a number of West End shows in London, with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and top Jazz artists from all over the world
My teaching style is relaxed to put my students at ease so they can focus on the material we cover..

My teaching method is based on covering every aspect of music so my students can gain a thorough understanding and great musical foundation and beyond.
I use my own educational website and materials i have written. These have been triad and tested through many years of teaching at the Conservatoire and privately. Besides these there are a handful of method books i use and recommend on a personal basis.
