Alaina Rea

Violist Alaina Rea has previously played as Assistant Principal Viola of the Charlotte Symphony and Section Viola of the Baltimore Symphony. Alaina has performed as an orchestral fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center and Aspen Music Festival As a chamber musician, she has collaborated in recitals with Vadim Gluzman and Robert McDuffie.

Alaina recieved a Bachelor's in Viola Performance from the Juilliard School and a Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory. Since her orchestral career, Alaina returned to school to become a registered nurse. She still maintains an active teaching and performing schedule. 

I have over 8 years of experience teaching violin and viola students of all ages and abilities. I can provide regular weekly lessons on solo repertoire or help you prepare for excerpts for auditions.
