Anastasiia Myronchuk
About
Hello! My name is Anastasiia, and I am a professional piano and voice teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience.
I graduated from the Lviv National Music Academy and have a strong background in music education, piano, voice, and choral conducting. Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages and levels, from very young beginners to adults.
I have also taught at Jacksonville School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida, where I worked with students for many years and helped them develop strong musical foundations, confidence, and a love for music.
My lessons are structured but encouraging. I focus on building proper technique, note reading, rhythm, musical expression, hand position, coordination, and confidence at the instrument. For younger students, I also include musical games and age-appropriate activities to make lessons engaging and enjoyable.
I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to each person’s age, goals, personality, and learning style.
Students can study classical music, popular songs, technique, sight-reading, music theory, and performance skills.
I teach both piano and voice and work with children and adults.
Lessons are available in English and Russian.
Teaching Style
My teaching style combines strong musical foundations with a warm and supportive approach.
For beginners, I focus on:
- Proper hand position and posture
- Reading notes
- Rhythm
- Finger strength and coordination
- Technique
- Basic music theory
- Musical expression
- Building good practice habits
For younger children, I use games, visual materials, rhythm exercises, and short activities to keep lessons interesting and age-appropriate.
For intermediate students, I work on technique, interpretation, phrasing, repertoire, sight-reading, and performance skills.
Curriculum
For younger beginners, I often recommend method books such as Faber Piano Adventures, or similar age-appropriate materials. For intermediate students, I select repertoire and technical exercises based on the student’s individual level and goals
I may recommend additional books or sheet music after the first lesson once I have evaluated the student’s level.
