Angelos Angelides
About
Angelos is a BMus and MA (Music Ed.) graduate of Aristotle University Greece and graduate of Synchrono Odeon Thessaloniki. He holds the Sub-Principal position for clarinet in the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra since 2003, and clarinet faculty positions in the Academy of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Cyprus public Music Schools. He has given more than ten solo recitals, had his solo debut with the CySO in 2014 and appeared again in 2021. He enjoys a vibrant career in chamber music.
He is an active orchestrator and composer. His output includes works for clarinet, wind instruments and other small ensembles. His work “A Small Thought” for clarinet trio received an Honourable Mention at the Clareidoscope Festival in 2026.

I actively search for a personilized approach for each student, identifying strenths and areas for improvement, set goals for each lesson and area.
I strive for every lesson to accomplish a goal, set a new one and - most importantly - have a good time through music!
Curriculum
Foundamentals such as solfege, rhythm, and posture, diaphragm, embochure, fingers is always an ongoing process.
Every lesson should include sight-reading, scales, tutor books, etudes series, performance pieces and music choosen by the students.
Through questions and answers students should be aware what they accomplished, what is the goal for every specific item, and how to go about it.
