About

Singing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, literally since before I could talk in full sentences! I grew up in Idaho with music at the center of everything, and that passion eventually took me all the way to American Idol in 2023.

I spent two years teaching voice professionally, working with students of every age and skill level, from total beginners just finding their voice to advanced singers polishing their technique for auditions and performances. I love meeting students exactly where they are and building lessons around their goals, whether that's singing confidently for the first time, prepping for a big audition, or just having fun with a favorite song.

I bring patience, energy, and a genuinely warm approach to every lesson. My goal is simple: help you fall in love with your own voice.

Teaching Style

We can warm up together if you'd like, or, to make the most of our lesson time, you can warm up beforehand and we'll dive straight into a song you're excited about. From there, I coach you as you sing, without ever critiquing the things that make your voice unique. I want every student to feel empowered in who they are. My job is to help you sing as healthily as possible and offer ideas to embellish your delivery until you're happy with it.

If you'd rather focus on fundamentals, I've got lesson plans ready for breath work, music theory, scales, songwriting, unlocking your chest voice, mix, and head voice too. Whatever you're interested in exploring with your voice or with music, I'll tailor lessons around you.

Credentials & Affiliations

With two years of professional vocal instruction experience in Utah, I have taught students of all ages and skill levels through both individualized training and group vocal instruction. Throughout my time teaching, I maintained an exceptional 94% student retention rate, reflecting a strong commitment to student development, engagement, and long-term growth.

My instruction encompasses vocal technique, range development, performance preparation, audition coaching, music theory, harmony, and contemporary vocal application. I help students strengthen their voices, build confidence, prepare for auditions and performances, and discover the unique qualities that make their voice their own. I have worked with students pursuing roles in musical theatre and other performance opportunities, helping them develop the skills necessary to confidently pursue their goals.

In addition to teaching, I have extensive professional experience as a singer, songwriter, and recording artist in Los Angeles, California. My work as a singer-songwriter has provided me with practical knowledge of the modern music industry, songwriting process, vocal production, recording, and independent artistry.

I am also experienced in teaching students how to record and produce their vocals from home, including foundational recording techniques, vocal tracking, harmonies, and practical approaches to creating quality recordings in a home environment. This allows students to develop not only as vocalists, but as well-rounded musicians who understand how their voice translates into a recorded setting.

As a performer, I competed on American Idol in 2023, earning a Golden Ticket and advancing to the Top 100 from more than 60,000 auditions.

I have also worked professionally at Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone, performing in three major productions: The Music ManBeauty and the Beast, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, in which I portrayed the title role of Joseph.

My combined experience as a vocal instructor, professional performer, singer-songwriter, and recording artist allows me to offer students a well-rounded education in both the performance and creative sides of music. My goal is to help each student develop a strong, authentic voice while equipping them with the technical knowledge, musical understanding, confidence, and practical skills needed to thrive as a modern artist.
