About
Hello, my name is Cindle and I have over 17 years of music teaching experience online, in person and in the schools. I have a music education degree from Malone University and a masters in behavioral phycology from the University of Cincinnati. Over the years, I have worked with all ages and ability levels. I have performed with the bands such as Friday Night Specal, Crison Decree, and The Dark Parade. I have better nominate students favorite teach from 2016-2021 when I left the schools and started teaching private lessons. My primary instrument is the flute, however I play and teach every instrument.
Teaching Style
I focus on the students needs and interest, then design my approach around that. The first lesson, you can expect me to listen to your abilities and skills and come up with an educational plan to meet your wants and needs. I will make suggestions on gear and/or books to purchase and anything suggestions or apps that will help moving forward. I then plan out the lessons to help help you grow into the musician you want to be.
Curriculum
Since I teach all grades and ages, I have a large range of teaching methods I cover. This include Suzuki, Delcrose, Kodi, Orph, Scale Studies and Etudes and many more. Depending on the students level and instrument will depend on what method I think would work best. I recommend a number of different books based on the playing ability. Some of these include Alfred Reed, Suzuki, Accent on Achievement, Standard of Excellence and many more depending on the ability level. I am certified to work with students who have special learning needs.
