About
Hello! My name is Dana. I am a graduate of the esteemed University of Miami School of Music. I attended from 91-95 and have my bachelors degree in Studio Music and Jazz. I have been performing and teaching music in my own studio(Dana B Music) for more than 30 years. Touring and recording with the band Bricqmen from 96-97, I was also the bassist for the Peter Graves Orchestra(featuring members of the Jaco Pastorious Word of Mouth big band) for several years performing throughout the South Florida area. I have also shared the stage with Jerry Vale, Ira Sullivan, Melton Mustafa, Red Rodney, Duffy Jackson, Bruce Hornsby, Red Rodney, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Joe Piscopo and "Big Mama Blue". I also have an extensive background in musical theatre, including productions of Dreamgirls, My Fair Lady, Nunsense, Li'l Abner, Jesus Christ Superstar and many others. I teach guitar, bass(upright and/or electric), music theory or piano. Any style of music!
I currently live in the Winston-Salem, NC area(between Raleigh and Charlotte), but I offer virtual lessons to anyone, anywhere in the world. In person lesson at my studio are also available. I enjoy teaching one on one, but I can also teaching siblings as a group. Any age group is welcome!
Some of my students have gone on to perform in Allstate Jazz Band, Allstate Orchestra, attend music college, perform professionally and even work in well known music recoding studios.

Teaching Style
I teach my students to understand the language of music. This can be applied to any instrument. We can also supplement any songs/styles my student has an interest in.
