About
I’m a professional actor and acting coach with over 25 years of experience working in film, television, and theatre. My credits include All My Children, Power, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, Bones, NYPD Blue, Star Trek, and major studio films.
I am a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio, where I have continued to develop my craft alongside working actors, directors, and writers.
As a coach, I work with actors at different stages of their development — from students preparing for competitive college theatre programs to professional actors preparing auditions, self-tapes, scenes, and roles. Students I have coached have been accepted to programs including NYU and the University of Michigan.
My goal is not to impose one acting “method” on every student. I help each actor develop truthful, specific, emotionally connected work while strengthening the technique and confidence needed to make strong choices in the room and on camera.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is supportive, direct, and highly individualized. I believe every actor is different, so I meet each student where they are rather than forcing them into one specific technique.
I create a safe environment where actors can take risks, make bold choices, and work without fear of being judged. At the same time, I give clear, practical feedback and will challenge you when I know you can go further.
We focus on truthful behavior, listening, emotional connection, specificity, and being fully present in the scene. For on-camera work, I also help actors understand how to make strong choices while keeping the work natural and grounded for the camera.
Whether you are preparing an audition, self-tape, college audition, or simply developing your craft, my goal is to help you become a more confident, independent actor who can trust your own instincts.
Curriculum
Lessons are tailored to each actor’s individual goals and experience level. We may work on audition sides, self-tapes, monologues, scenes, or material selected specifically to develop a particular area of the actor’s craft.
My approach begins with understanding the circumstances of the scene, the character’s relationships, objectives, obstacles, and emotional stakes. From there, we work through the material moment by moment, focusing on listening, truthful behavior, specificity, and allowing the actor’s own instincts to inform the work.
For audition and self-tape preparation, we focus on script analysis, strong and specific choices, connection to the reader, adjustments, and creating work that feels truthful and alive on camera.
I draw from my years of professional acting experience and ongoing work at The Actors Studio rather than teaching one rigid acting method. When helpful, I may recommend plays, screenplays, scenes, or acting texts based on the individual student’s needs.
