Hi! I’m Felicity, a Berklee-trained vocalist and songwriter with over 7 years of experience teaching music to children and young musicians. I love having fun, and helping you to build your confidence in musicianship and performance.
I offer personalized lessons in singing, songwriting, guitar, and piano - and I can tailor lessons to each student’s age, experience level, and goals. Whether your child is just getting started, wants to develop their voice or instrument, or is interested in writing their own songs, I’ll create an encouraging environment where they can foster a love for music!
I offer Berklee Audition Preparations for any students interested in pursuing music at the college level, including performance preparation, repertoire selection, ear training and harmony.
My goal is to make music lessons something students genuinely look forward to, while giving them the skills and confidence to become confident, independent musicians.
Teaching Style
I am fun and flexible, and especially good at getting younger kids excited about being a part of something creative. For younger ages, I focus on getting them laughing and making sure they want to keep doing it. For students who are more advanced, I lean into whatever excites them.
Curriculum
For students interested in pursuing a music degree at Berklee or elsewhere, I draw on materials from Berklee’s first-semester Ear Training and Harmony courses, along with the knowledge and practical advice I gained throughout my own college experience.
For other students, my teaching approach depends greatly on their individual goals and needs. Whether they’re interested in music theory, want to become a stronger performer, are learning a particular instrument, or are passionate about a specific genre, I believe it’s important to lean into what excites them. My goal is to build lessons around each student’s interests while giving them the skills and confidence to grow as a musician.
Credentials & Affiliations
A bachelor's degree in Professional Music Studies (Emphases in Performance, Production, and Songwriting) from Berklee College of Music.
7 years of instruction experience at School of Rock, Guitar Center, Little Groove, and my private studio lessons.
