About

Most students do not struggle because they lack talent.

They struggle because no one has shown them exactly what to fix.

I’m Gabe Toth, owner of Gabe Toth Music Academy, with 30+ years of teaching experience and 40+ years as a working musician. I teach voice, piano, guitar, music theory, ear training, and performance coaching.

My lessons are practical, direct, supportive, and results-driven. I identify what is actually happening, explain it clearly, and give you a plan you can use immediately.

I work with beginners, returning adults, serious singers, pianists, guitarists, performers, and students who have tried lessons before but still feel stuck.

My goal is simple:

Find the problem.
Fix the habit.
Train the ear.
Build the technique.
Apply it to real music.

This is not generic instruction. Every lesson is adjusted to the student in real time so you know exactly what to practice next.

Book a 30-minute lesson and I will help identify what is holding you back and give you a clear next step forward.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is friendly, clear, practical, and tailored to the student in real time.

I do not teach from a one-size-fits-all script. I listen, watch, identify the issue, and help the student fix what is actually holding them back.

Lessons are supportive but focused. We work on strong fundamentals, ear training, technique, confidence, and real music application.

The goal is for every student to leave the lesson understanding:

What changed.
Why it matters.
What to practice next.

That is how progress becomes faster, clearer, and more consistent.

Curriculum

My curriculum is based on practical, results-driven music training.

Each lesson begins by identifying the student’s current issue, then building the skill needed to correct it.

For voice students, this may include pitch, breath, tone, passaggio, vowels, ear training, range, confidence, and performance.

For piano and guitar students, this may include technique, chords, rhythm, reading, coordination, theory, and learning songs faster.

For theory and ear-training students, I connect the material directly to real music so it becomes useful instead of confusing.

Every lesson is adjusted to the student’s progress, goals, and learning style.
