About

Hi! I'm Héctor, a professional guitarist and music educator from Mexico with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Planning and Development.

For many years I've taught music in schools, given private lessons, and performed regularly as a live guitarist. My experience ranges from teaching complete beginners to helping more experienced players improve their technique, confidence, and musical understanding.

I enjoy teaching students of all ages and adapting each lesson to their individual goals. Whether you want to learn your first chords, improve your rhythm, play lead guitar, understand music theory, or prepare for live performances, I'm here to help you grow as a musician while enjoying the learning process.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and goal-oriented.

I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to the student's experience, interests, and pace. I focus on creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that's an essential part of learning.

I enjoy teaching through real songs whenever possible, helping students develop both technical skills and musical confidence. My goal is not only to teach guitar, but to help students become independent musicians who understand what they're playing.

Curriculum

My lessons combine practical playing with solid musical foundations.

Depending on each student's goals, lessons may include:

• Guitar technique and proper posture
• Rhythm and timing
• Chords and scales
• Music theory applied to real music
• Ear training
• Improvisation
• Rock and metal techniques
• Song learning and analysis
• Tone and sound development
• Practice strategies for faster improvement

Each lesson includes clear objectives and practical exercises so students continue making progress between sessions. I believe consistent, enjoyable practice is the key to long-term improvement.
