About

Hi! I’m Isolde Fair, a professional vocalist, violinist, recording artist, and music educator with a lifelong passion for helping students discover their own artistic voice. I began studying violin at age 5 and grew up in a musical family, developing a strong foundation in classical technique while also pursuing contemporary music, performance, and artistry.

Throughout my career, I have had the honor of performing at some of the world’s most respected venues and working across classical, pop, film, and television. As a young violin prodigy, I performed violin solos with the Royal London Philharmonic and at venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall. By the age of 18, I had performed on three Grammy-winning albums and contributed violin performances to television and film scores. I have also had the privilege of performing for and collaborating with artists, organizations, and leaders including Queen Latifah, Hillary Clinton, Amy Adams, the United Nations, and companies such as Microsoft.

My journey as a recording artist began at age 13 when my original song went viral, reaching millions of people online and being shared with an audience of over 13 million through social media. I later headlined a performance at Lincoln Center with MILCK for an audience of 3,000 people. My work and story have been recognized by outlets including PopSugar, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, Huffington Post, and NHK. This past year, I received my first Grammy nomination as an artist at age 22.

As a vocalist, I have trained with some of the leading professionals in the industry, including members of the Temptations and renowned vocal coach Eric Vetro, as well as Beth Anderson, a celebrated vocalist known for her work on major film scores. These experiences have given me a unique understanding of both the technical and artistic sides of performing.

As a teacher, my goal is to help students develop confidence, strong technique, musicality, and their own unique expression. I have experience working with students of different ages and skill levels in both violin and vocal instruction. Whether a student is just beginning, preparing for a performance, developing their voice, or pursuing music professionally, I create personalized lessons that are supportive, structured, and inspiring.

I believe every musician has a unique story to share. My role is to help students build the skills, confidence, and creativity needed to become the best version of themselves as artists.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is personalized, encouraging, and focused on helping each student become a confident and expressive musician. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson around their individual goals, personality, learning style, and level of experience.

I combine strong technical foundations with creativity and musical expression. For vocal students, I focus on healthy vocal technique, breath support, range, tone, performance skills, and helping each singer discover their unique voice. For violin students, I emphasize proper technique, tone production, musicality, and confidence while helping them connect more deeply with the music they are playing.

Having trained and performed in both classical and contemporary music, I bring a well-rounded approach that allows students to explore different styles while building the fundamentals they need to grow. Whether a student is learning for fun, preparing for an audition or performance, developing their artistry, or pursuing music professionally, I create lessons that are structured, supportive, and inspiring.

My goal is to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and developing confidence. Music is not only about learning the notes, it is about finding your voice, expressing yourself, and building a lifelong connection with music.

Curriculum

My teaching method combines personalized instruction with strong technical foundations. I specialize in two areas: pop/contemporary vocal coaching and traditional classical violin training.

For vocal students, my approach focuses on developing a healthy and confident voice while helping each singer discover their unique sound. Lessons include vocal technique, breath support, range development, tone, stylistic choices, song interpretation, and performance skills. Drawing from my experience as a recording artist and performer, I help students not only improve their voice but also learn how to connect emotionally with their music and build confidence as artists.

For violin students, I use a traditional classical approach focused on building strong fundamentals and lifelong musicianship. Lessons may include proper posture, bow technique, tone production, scales, sight-reading, music theory, technique exercises, and classical repertoire. I emphasize creating a strong foundation while helping students develop musicality and expression.

Recommended materials are personalized based on each student's age, experience level, and goals. Depending on the student, I may incorporate method books, technical exercises, repertoire selections, sheet music, vocal exercises, and customized materials to support their growth.

My goal is to create lessons that are structured, encouraging, and inspiring, helping students build the skills and confidence to become expressive musicians.
