Jillian Leffring

Hey! I'm Jillian, a profession multi-instrument music instructor with 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachlor's Degree in Music from Grand Valley State Univeristy. I specialize in harp, piano, voice, violin, and cello lessons for students of all ages and experience levels.

I own and operate Jillian Nel Music Studio, where I teach a full private studio of students and host student recitals. I have experience working with complete beginners learning their first notes, hobby musicians wanting to play for fun, and advancing students looking to imrpove technique, confidence, and performance skills.

I believe music lessons should be encouraging, personalized, and something students look forward to each week. whether your goal is to learn your favorite songs, strengthen your technique, prepare for a performance, or simply enjoy music. I would love to help you reach your goals!

My teaching style is positive, patient, and customized to each individual student. Everyone learns differently, so I adjust lessons based on each student's age, goals, personality, and learning style.

I focus on building a strong foundation through proper technique, music reading, ear training, theory, creativity, and musical expression while still making lessons enjoyable and motivating.

I believe confidence is one of the most important parts of learning music. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel supported, challenged, and excited about their progress.
