Joey Tomaska

Joey Tomaska is a professional musician and educator of over 8 years.

Graduating from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor's degree in Music, he was section leader for his main collegiate choir and was in two a cappella groups. He also has taken classes at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater where he studied music education in order to further hone his skills as a teacher. 

Upon graduating, he began teaching private voice, guitar, piano, and banjo lessons at Rock Central in Lake Geneva, WI, which is a non-profit performance-based school. In addition to private instruction, he has been director for mulitple ensembles consisting of all ages, preparing them to perform at various venues. 

Joey strives to help his students reach their "a-ha" moments-- where everything starts to click and the real fun begins! Taking lessons with him will unlock your potential and allow you to become the musician you've always known you can be. 

Joey is passionate and dedicated when it comes to teaching students 1-on-1. He makes it a priority to tailor the experience to each student at any age, meeting them at their desired pace and skill level. Patience is key for Joey, and he does everything he can to instill a patient mindset in his students as well. Practicing music in any capacity can be challenging and present frustration, so he offers a calm and calculated approach to the craft. 

Music is fun! At its heart, music awakens something in all of us while meaning something different for each individual. One of Joey's top priorities is relaying crucial information, such as Music Theory, to his students in a way that invites curiosity.
